Privacy policy

magnetchat is owned and operated by Geoptly Intelligence Inc., a company registered in British Columbia, Canada. For anything in this policy, email privacy@magnetchat.com.

Account data — name, email, password (hashed), and optionally company details, your logo and brand color. Used to provide the service (contract).

Content you upload — your PDF lead magnets and the engagement plans around them. Stored so we can serve them to your readers (contract).

Lead data your magnets capture — names, emails, conversations of your readers. Here you are the controller and we are the processor: we process this data only to run your magnets and show it to you. The lead-facing notice is at magnetchat.link/privacy. Our data processing agreement applies automatically as part of the terms.

Billing data — handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers; we keep your subscription status and invoices reference (contract).

Product usage — events like magnet views, downloads, and chat activity, used to power your dashboard and improve the product (contract, legitimate interest).

Site analytics — magnetchat.com uses Google Analytics only if you consent via the cookie banner. Decline and no analytics script loads at all.

Emails — transactional email (verification, resets, alerts you have chosen) via Postmark. Every notification category can be switched off in settings; account-security email cannot.

We use these providers, each bound by data processing terms:

• Vercel — hosting and content delivery (US)
• PlanetScale — database (US)
• Google Cloud & Gemini — file storage and AI processing of your documents and chats (US)
• Stripe — payments (US)
• Postmark — transactional email (US)
• Cloudflare — bot protection on sign-up (US)
• Google Analytics — site analytics, consent-based (US)
• Calendly — demo scheduling, only if you book a demo (US)

Transfers outside the EU/EEA rely on standard contractual clauses and each provider's EU data framework participation.

Account and content data stay while your account is active. Delete your account (Settings → Delete account) and we erase your organization, magnets, leads, conversations, and files; backups age out within 30 days. AI processing artifacts at Google (registered files, chat interactions) expire on Google's retention schedule, at most 55 days.

Access, correction, deletion, export, objection, restriction — email privacy@magnetchat.com and we honor requests within 30 days. Deletion is also self-serve in settings. You can lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Strictly necessary — session cookies on the platform (sign-in) and bot-protection cookies. No consent needed, no tracking.

Analytics — Google Analytics on magnetchat.com, only after you accept the banner. Change your mind anytime via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.

If this policy changes materially we'll email account holders. The date above always reflects the current version.
